Description
All lines have now reopened following an object caught on the overhead electric wires at Letchworth Garden City earlier today. Trains between Stevenage and Cambridge may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.
Customer Advice
The line towards Cambridge, Ely and Kings Lynn has now reopened, and services through the area are on the move again.
Short notice alterations and cancellations are possible whilst services return to normal. This means that some services may have cancelled stops, or will terminate and restart at a different station to normal.
Journeys will be extended by at least 30 minutes this afternoon so please allow plenty of extra time for your journey.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on the following:
Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street, Cambridge and Ely
London Underground between London Terminals
Elizabeth line between Farringdon and London Liverpool Street

There has been a report of an obstruction on the overhead electric wires, and this is now causing some disruption to services. Your train may be held on approach to the area, or it may need to be terminated before it gets to this part of the network.
Network Rail staff will be attending to remove the obstruction as quickly as they can. Unfortunately, it's not possible to try to run trains past this. We're closely monitoring progress updates.
