Description

Lines have reopened following a tree blocking the railway at Oxford. Trains at this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 17:30.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

  • Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street

  • London Underground between London Paddington and London Euston

  • Avanti West Coast between London Euston and Birmingham New Street / Manchester Piccadilly

  • Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Banbury

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption, and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this, at no extra cost.

Any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but coaches B, H and L are the unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available), so you are advised to head to them.

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:
