Description
A tree blocking the railway between Dartford and Greenwich means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Dartford and Greenwich may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.
Thameslink customer advice:
Please allow an extra 30 minutes for your journey as you will have to use an alternative route or transport provider.
Thameslink services that run between Rainham and Luton service will be suspended in both directions, as Thameslink cannot run between Dartford and London Bridge until further notice.
Ticket acceptance
You can use your tickets on the following, at no extra cost:
London Buses between Dartford and London Bridge
Elizabeth line between Abbey Wood and Farringdon
Southeastern trains between Gravesend and London Bridge, via Dartford
Docklands Light Railway service on any reasonable route including to/from Royal Woolwich Arsenal and Greenwich
London Underground on any reasonable route including between London Terminals and to/from Canary Wharf and Canning Town (for Docklands Light Railway connections)
If you're waiting on a train which is delayed between stations:
If your train is delayed between stations, please stay on board and listen for updates. You can also ask staff if you need more information. Thameslink know where you are and are working to get you moving as soon as possible.
For your safety, please don’t leave the train unless instructed. Other trains may still be running, and the tracks can be very dangerous. If the area has an electric third rail, it stays live even during delays and looks just like the other rails.
Planning your journey:
Live departure boards, a live map of the network and an alternative route map are available.
If you're travelling in the London area, you can plan journeys on alternative routes by using the TfL Journey Planner. You can also use the Thameslink app to find up-to-date information.
