Description

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for high winds affecting parts of England and Wales today, Monday 15 September. The weather warning is expected to remain in place until this evening.

High winds can cause debris such as fallen trees to block lines, and there may be a requirement for speed restrictions to be implemented on certain routes to ensure trains are able to run safely on the railway.

Please check your entire journey before you travel, and allow some extra time. Services may be subject to delays, cancellations and alterations as a result of the poor weather.
