Between Carlisle and Whitehaven
Description
Heavy rain flooding the railway between Carlisle and Whitehaven means all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.
Customer Advice
To assist customers to complete their journey, road transport has been provided between Maryport and Carlisle in both directions as follows:
16:00, 18:00 Maryport calling at all stations to Carlisle
16:00, 18:00 Carlisle calling at all stations to Carlisle
Journey times will be extended by 60 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
